Matron, Bramston's
Pastoral care is essential to the well-being of the boys and in helping them to give their best in the boarding house and in the classroom.
In a past life I was a driving instructor trainer, but a couple of near-death experiences left me looking for alternative employment. The world of the boarding house matron beckoned and fifteen years later, I’m still here!
Previous skills are still useful as I try to steer the boys in the right direction, helping them to gear up for their life ahead and indicating the use of their best behaviour amongst their fellow men, as they are pedalling their way through these vital, formative years.
Pressures in teenage years are various and many, but I see my role as helping to minimise those pressures and allow the boys to get the most from their years in Bramston’s (Trant’s).
